Letters to the Next President: Literacy and Elections

In this post for the International Literacy Association, high school English and media teacher Chris Sloan talks about his experiences participating in 2008’s Letters to the Next President and why it was important in building students’ capacity as future citizens and in strengthening literacy skills. He also describes some of the exciting opportunities and resources available through Letters to the Next President 2.0 and their potential for impact in these areas and beyond.
